Thyroid Panel
A thyroid panel is a group of blood tests that assess thyroid function. The most common initial test is TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone); expanded panels may include free T4, free T3, and thyroid antibodies.
Common thyroid markers
TSH is typically the primary screening marker. Free T4 (thyroxine) and free T3 (triiodothyronine) measure circulating thyroid hormones. Antibody tests such as anti-TPO may appear when autoimmune conditions are being evaluated.
Reference ranges for thyroid markers vary by laboratory and method. Use the ranges on your specific report when reviewing flagged values.
Why thyroid tests get monitored over time
Thyroid function can change with age, pregnancy, medications, and other factors. People on thyroid-related medications often have repeat panels to assess how values trend over months.
Organizing thyroid results chronologically helps you see whether TSH and related markers shifted between visits — a useful starting point for questions, not a basis for adjusting medication on your own.
Thyroid tracking in MedLens+
Upload thyroid panel reports and we'll extract markers onto your timeline with the reference ranges from each document. Cross-lab cautions apply when comparing results from different laboratories.
We never recommend dosage changes or interpret what thyroid results mean for your treatment. Those decisions belong between you and your qualified healthcare provider.
